چکیده
Hierarchical nanotubular TiN was prepared by magnesiothermic reduction of titania replicas of a cellulose substance (filter paper), which possessed high surface area (31.4 m(2) g(-1)), and was demonstrated to be a promising electrode material due to its electrochemical performances.

Flame synthesis of hierarchical nanotubular rutile titania derived from natural cellulose substance.
Hierarchical nanotubular rutile titania material was fabricated by facile flame burning of ultrathin titania gel film coated cellulose nanofibres of commercial cellulose substance (filter paper), which possesses efficient photocatalytic performance for degradation of organic dye (methylene blue) under ultraviolet irradiation.
متن کاملInvestigation of the electrical properties and corrosion resistance of TiN coating deposited by reactive sputtering on the titanium bipolar plate, used in polymeric fuel cell
The effect of titanium nitride film on the properties of titanium bipolar plates used in polymeric fuel cell was investigated in this research. TiN coatings was deposited on the Ti-grade 1 substrate by using DC-sputtering method. Pure titanium was used as target and coating deposition was done in argon and nitrogen atmosphere. Different TiN thickness was developed by changing sputtering time. T...
متن کاملBiocompatibility of a titanium–aluminum nitride film coating on a dental alloy
The purpose of this investigation was to develop a coating technique and to study the characteristics of titanium–aluminum nitride [(Ti,Al)N] films deposited on a base-metal alloy (Wiron88R) substrate. Titanium–aluminum nitride thin films were deposited on the alloy surface using a reactive radiofrequency sputtering method. The electrochemical properties of three specimens with and without coat...
متن کاملElectrochemical properties of titanium nitride nerve stimulation electrodes: an in vitro and in vivo study
The in vivo electrochemical behavior of titanium nitride (TiN) nerve stimulation electrodes was compared to their in vitro behavior for a period of 90 days. Ten electrodes were implanted in two Göttingen minipigs. Four of these were used for electrical stimulation and electrochemical measurements. Five electrodes were kept in Ringer's solution at 37.5°C, of which four were used for electrical s...
متن کاملElectro-chemical and biological properties of carbon nanotube based multi-electrode arrays.
A novel class of micro-electrodes was fabricated by synthesizing high density carbon nanotube islands on lithographically defined, passivated titanium nitride conductors on a silicon dioxide substrate. Electrochemical characterization in phosphate buffered saline of these new electrodes reveals superb electrochemical properties marked by featureless rectangular cyclic voltammetry curves corresp...
